Advice on setting up remote operation at someone else's site

I've been thinking about setting up a Flex 6600 as a remote station instead of using it from my home location because I am moving at the end of the month and I do not know if I will be able to put up antennas on the roof of the new place (which I haven't found yet). Dangling an end-fed wire antenna out the window of an apartment building seems like too much of a compromise for me. I am also not interested in compromising on power either so I plan to run this with a SPE 1.3k amp which seems easy to remotely control and monitor.
When thinking about it, it seems easier to setup the remote operation at someone else's site, preferably where power and fast internet access are already available than to buy land to do it.

Has anyone done something like that and do you have any advice to share from your experience doing it? There's things that can be foreseen when planning it but I am sure there were at least a couple of unexpected surprises along the way.
