Adapter between USB 3 and IEEE 1394a???

Jeff

Questions about using USB 2 to 1394a adapters have been asked (& closed). I have not found newer notebook/ultrabook with the 1394a interface. But, they do have USB 3 which is faster than 1394a. Has anyone had any experience with using an adapter or cable between USB 3 and 1394a?

They will not work. Period. You will have to find a business class PC with an ExpressCard slot to add a FireWire adapter if you want to operate a FLEX-3000 or FLEX-5000 with a laptop.

Thanks Tim. I did search, but did not see this warning, posted by Greg, which now appears under Related Conversations to the side

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
