Has anyone tried the Adafruit GPIO FT232H board?  I am curious as this board is much cheaper $17 than the FTDI C232HM-EDHSL-0 I understand that FRS cant test every board, but Adafruit is pretty accessible and easy to work with as a US based company.  BTW the owner is also a ham Limor "Ladyada" AC2SN

It seems like genuine FTDI so it should work.

Nope it is not recognized by my 6600m.  No big deal I am going to use it in another project.  I would say that as Adafruit is very accessible and responsive, owned by a ham, located in the US, and the part is mfg in the US.  It would seem that this would provide better consistency, communications, price and access to the engineering team at AdaFruit.  BTW she is actually designing on a work station then running the boards on a pic-n-place machine 20' away.  And this is being done in NYC not China.
