A year with the 6500

I bought my 6500 following the ARRL Midwest Convention last year, so I've had it on the air now for just about a year.  I was getting back into ham radio after a near 20-yr layoff and my confirmed DXCC count was about 225 Mixed, 200 CW.  As of tonight, in 12 months I've uploaded over 2100 contacts to LoTW, and have just reached 1000 confirmed.  I'm now at 261 Mixed, 242 CW.  In the process, I've filled out a DXCC Phone, and single band DXCCs on 20, 15, 12 & 10 and am only lacking 5 QSLs to finish 17m.  I'm over half-way on both 30 & 40, and according to HRD Log have worked 109 on 30, 79 on 40, and 74 countries worked on RTTY.  This has been all barefoot, on a HF9V Butternut vertical for the first 6 months and with the help of a K4KIO Hex-beam since midsummer.

Did I ever tell you how much I LOVE my 6500???
