A Mddest Proposal - Part Deux

My previous "Modest Proposal" was for the SSDR quit remotely feature that I now regularly use!

Let's see if I can go "2 out of 2"...

I have turned my favorite rig, my 6700 into an "all-in-one" transceiver with the judicious addition of a 2 M LDPA and a high end band tuned 70cm transverter, and use them on local repeaters frequently.

One of my problems is that a Repeater's "subaudible" PL tone is incredibly audible to me.

Yes, I have used the equalizer to lessen the hum in the background, but never to fully remove it. It would also be nice to have a receive PL controlled squelch so that when a Fusion Repeater barfs out digital signals my 6700 is peacefully squelched. Of course it would be great if SDR inserted a deep/narrow notch filter for this PL tone...

They sell radios for under $1K that pull this off.

And with the beautiful 6700 it just requires a bit of reprogramming in the firmware.

I realize that people are salivating for WAN capability, and there are some out there that don't know why I don't just use a cheap UHF/VHF rig, but...

Any chance that this could be a little feature snuck in before, say, SSDR 4.0???

Just sayin'...
