Come on Rich, just take the rubber **** off loosen the set **** and adjust the closeness of the knob and you'll be fine, plus you wont have to send it back. It does not appear that with all the reports of the same issue that quality control is testing every radio fully before they go out the door. They are probably just doing the burn in and if they pass its in the box and out the door.

This issue has been reported at least on 4 different recently shipped radios and the fix has been described in the community.

Wayne, Flex has worked with Rich already and asked him to send his radio back as I understand. So his problem I not likely something he could do himself.

I would tear the front panel off if I thought I could fix it myself. I just cant imagine its related to the knob or Flex would have had me do that.  Its related to several knobs.

This is what I was told.

"It's an manufacturing issue found late last week,  that is causing the touchy knobs and pop ups that your are seeing.  Had to be tracked down,   so sorry for the problem(s)   ..

And, correct, I do not represent Flex Radio. I always hope to research and find information in order to reflect accurate information if possible to help others. Some times poor info is passed along on purpose and or bye mistake. Sometimes misleading statements are made to put Flex in a bad light, so it is best to correct this.

The good thing for me is I know by now if a person is venting out of frustration, and there are times when frustration is ecceptible. Some are  saying things with an agenda in mind, you get to know who they are. There are times I have incorrectly commented on someones comments, and I am sorry for this.
But thank you for thinking I represent Flex, I'm honored.

Wayne, this is not effecting all radios, as many have reported, their radios are working fine. I don't think they will stop production, they will likely pay more attention to this problem going ahead and radios with this problem would be sent back.

My 6600M made a one day Round Trip back to Flex today to repair the touch screen which was not functioning.  Not sure if Steve fixed it or sent back a new one.  A friend who was picking up his 6600 took it up for me and is bringing it back.  Will get it back tomorrow morning.  Hopefully Steve checked it out to ensure none of the other faults were present on my 6600M.  Rich - you are even less lucky than I am if this is your second problem (or same problem x2)

Glad they could do a fast turn around Gary. Cant wait to hear what you think after you fire it up.

Logic tells me there are probably a fair amount of these radios out there with this issue. The fact I am 2 for 2 on radios that were probably built 3 weeks apart would indicate that.

Its newest trick :)  No, have not shipped it back yet.

Power button starts blinking red and shuts down receivers and goes back to connect screen.

Rich has this being tracked as a Support ticket.  Thanks all for your input.  We will jump on top of this.
