Audio breaks up. I get much better reports using Skype. Network quality is excellent with .few dropped packets and low latency.

After hours of testing, It turns out it was DAX causing the problem. I went into Windows task manager and ended DAX, problem solved. Perfect audio through the remote. Anyone having audio issues, shut down DAX!

The problem isn't DAX per se, the issue is either that your wireless network link cannot sustain streaming audio well and the single DAX stream put it over the edge or you have internal latency in your remote PC that will not handle the additional network load fast enough to prevent the discard of audio data.

The SmartSDR network monitor only interrogates streaming data between SmartSDR and the radio hardware.  DAX is a separate application and its network load contribution is not included.

well, even without using DAX.. just having it running was a problem. no such issues running remotely using skype. this was occuring on 2 separate computers.
