60 Meter Problems

I occasionally operate FT8 using WSJT-X on 60 meters, but I have not done so for at least a half-year or so. I am running the latest SmartSDR 2.3.9. When I tried to get on 60 meters today (Channel 3 - 5.357 MHz) I found that I was unable to transmit and the Tune control was greyed-out. I also had a problem with WSJT-X after trying to transmit on 60 meters in that it would not let me change the frequency of the 6700 (apparently CAT was disabled). Am I just forgetting something since it has been a while since I have been on 60 meters or is there a problem with this version of SmartSDR? I always set my offset frequency to 1476 Hz so that I am in the middle of the channel as required.

Might be your transmit bandwidth is too wide?

Good point, Rick...I did make it wider a week or so ago to run Fldigi. I just shut the 6700 down but I will test your suggestion tomorrow...thanks!

Well, Rick was right...I reduced my transmit bandwidth and all is well! I should have thought of this myself, but thankfully we have colleagues in this community who can give us a nudge in the right direction.
