I have  6700 and a 6500, version 2 setup perfectly on the 6700, but on the 6500 the software is asking me to "buy".  So do I need to pay for 2 licences, which is expensive from down here in NZ, and if not how do I get past the "buy" for the 6500.
I agree that paying for a licence is helping Flexradio, and I have no problem about doing that, but 2 Licences, at about NZ$350 each????!!!
Best wishes

Yes you will need to buy for each radio. Download the FAQ here:

In it you will find this:  If I have more than one FLEX-6000 series radio do I need to buy multiple licenses for 2.x? Is there a discount for multiple copies? Yes. SmartSDR is licensed to a specific radio serial number and is not transferable. There is no discount for multiple radios.
I will tell you this, if you decide to sell the 6500 having Vers 2 software on it will increase the value and I believe make it easier to sell.
