Improved/properly working ANF still nowhere to be found.
Truly sad. So many basic things need work. Instead we get a multicolored S Meter and improved spots.

I agree the TNF is great for "fixed" interference such as crud emitted by a noisy wall wart that belongs to your neighbor. For removing a tuner upper's signal on top of a qso that you're trying to copy, it will work......as long as the tuner upper doesn't decide to play games and rock the VFO back and forth. Then it's not so effective.
Plus, as I said earlier, it's next to impossible to use the TNF with the M model or the Maestro. (much less try to set several TNF's in the receive bandwidth)
I'm glad so many here seem happy with half baked software. Personally, I'm not. I have been a fan of Flex radio for years. But, it amazes me that people can overlook faults in such expensive radios (meaning the software that controls the radios) in favor of what some would describe as "eye candy and fluff".
Big efforts in remoting, spots, and some needed visual aids. But, very little to the basic controls and functions.
I would think the basics working reliably, would attract more buyers. But, then again.... what do I know?

i agree in fact this morning on our morning group on 75m I stated I won't upgrade to 2.49 because there is nothing in it I need and with all the problems after doing this upgrade why put yourself through it. Oh and James be careful what you post here a few of mine have been removed just because some people can't stand the truth.

James, you are right and I'm embarrassed to have to say that.

I've been a Flex owner since buying a 5000C back in 2007. I've been through many of the upgrade and delivery episodes in these 11 years and been happy to do so because in the end it was worth it to get cutting edge features.

Starting with the "Ugly Betty" skins implementation in PowerSDR, the company has worked at adding features over fixing bugs in order to sell radios, which in theory would allow Flex to fix bugs. I'm not in any position to argue with the logic but I can argue that it hasn't worked very well as far as I can see.

The basic noise blanker, ANF, diversity reception and the poor D-Star folks have suffered long enough.

The time has now come to get serious about fixing bugs and holding off on new features. It would be nice to not have to explain to friends that my vaunted Flex radios have a world class receiver and panadaptor but don't remove noise.

Boy, there seems to be a LOT of discontentment here with the extreme delays being encountered with promised features and enhancements .    Also with features that were said to be working and NOT.  It is clear that most of the delays are excessive.  I sure HOPE people at Flex are paying attention to all of these comments. While I and others understood that some of these things would be delayed I do not think that any of us understood how long these delays would be.  Being a Flex fan I am really hoping that the company gets on the ball and resolves these issues.

Their focus has no doubt changed over the years. They have done amazing things with So2R and remote which has little value to me but is big for others. As a rag-chewer we don't feel as much love :)

My biggest excitement has been S meter improvements and Icon changes !

I hope some days we see more features including a working auto notch.

With other manufacturers going SDR I am thinking they will be forced to.
