I just tried to update my 6700 to SSDR 2.3.7. I launched the new software on my W10 PC and turned on the 6700 (power cycle before update). The software detected the need to update and I clicked Update. The update process proceeded, I noticed messages on the 6700. The Update progress bar completed, but nothing else happened. After several minutes, following a note in the release notes, I powered down the 6700. It shut down with just a press of the power button. I restarted the 6700, the SSDR screen which was still showing did not change. I shut down SSDR and restarted. It detected that an update was required. I clicked Update. It went through the whole update process and again hung with the progress bar complete. I let it sit for about 15 minutes. No change. I powered down the 6700, removed DC power for 15 seconds and started it up again. The process still did not complete.  I started up my Maestro and it connected to the 6700 using version 2.2.8.

Anybody else with this issue? Do I need to open a help ticket?

Tim,

Thanks. That did the trick. Any idea why the PC couldn't do it?

The PC can update the radio via sSmartSDR but the Maestro must update itself. Glad to know you got it working, now they're both on the same update.

I got stuck updating the 6400 but pressing the power button as noted by Flex resulted in the update completing. After the update, radio information shows HW version 2.3.7.110 and I assume corresponds to SSDR 2.3.7.  I'd do a factory reset next.

Also, I had the same happen with the 2.2.8 update and the radio responded to the power button and finished.

I guess, then a ticket is needed.
