1500 and 30000 use a crystal oscillator

Does the Flex 1500 and 3000 use the same crystal oscillator the same as all other radios do?

There is a master crystal oscillator (clock) that drives the DDS in the 1500 and 3000.  However the radios are direct conversion radios rather than multi-stage superhets so there is only one "mixer" to down covert the RF to baseband audio and do the phasing before it is digitized by the ADC.

Thanks Tim this came up in a QSO  over the week, some were thinking if it has the same kind of Clock as all other radios than what makes it much different than anything else? It is almost impossible to know where to start explaining any of this...lol.....
