How cool to find 1.5 beta 1 on the Flex FTP site this morning! Totally unexpected so quickly; I guess the team has been doing some parallel development work.

Really impressed with the new DNS mode - digital noise suppression really works, and the "SmartDNS" setting to filter out undesired modulation/modes really helps clean up. I was able to remove an interfering SSB station this morning and work 7QAA right through him!

You guys rock. Especially so early in April...

The new "precognition" mode whereby spots appear in the N1MM logger before the pan adapter displays the signal is fabulous!

Shortly thereafter hams will be replaced by hamsters.  The controversy will move from knobs to wheels.

Have you tried the LID suppression option?  It's great.  Automatically filters out all the rude hams, poor operators, QRM-ers and jerks.  The bands sure are quiet now!

That's a nice option Ken, and nice that its located within the DSP selection.

Also note that with the DigiU selection is that I.D. function, select that, and on Digital modes a pointer comes up with a box & small arrow with line that when u click on a signal it decodes the data and shows the staion call, name, qth, a signal strenth in DBM within the box. Of course with a right click you have the option to access other info via qrz.com etc. its persistance is about 15 seconds to avoid clutter on the display.

Works great on all modes except SSB. Hmmmm, maybe it does do SSB, I wonder..............voice recognition. I mean my 6500 does so much, so well, why not?

This could get out of hand, thank goodness April 1st is but once a year. But, this is fun.
