1.5.1 Observasions So Far

So far, the Install has gone well without uninstalling 1.5 and no immediate problems have made themselves  obvious.
The problem in the 6300 with corrupted tx calibration seems to be gone as well as the mentioned data corruption in the TX has been mitigated at least in my case (observed by the lack of some certain signal appearances in tx mode, like an extremely broad appearing tx signal with a portion of each extended sideband mirrored/reversed within themselves outside of the "normal passband")
Did not have to reinstall 1.0.3 Free DV and as hoped, all profiles were retained for the new version and seem to be working properly.
My opinion so far is this is one HUGE step forward for the 1.5 series and for the 6300 difficulties in particular, Thanks a whole bunch for making such improvements so timely and I like also having the NB AND the WNB as they seem to make a more rounded set of tools for dropping some annoying noise types more effective.
We shall see what happens with a new startup in the morning.  Kudos Folks, Great Job!

I have observed that the Noise Reduction works very effectively with the late static conditions in So. California. With just a little NB it almost eliminates the static without affecting the voice quality.

Jim KJ7S... are you able to transmit in FreeDV mode via VOX operation?

Same upgrade results here, 1.51 slipped in cleanly.  Before upgrading uninstalled 1.5 and rebooted Win-10.  Power cycled the 6500 with a complete power down. Installed 1.51 and off to the races.

Agree with Jim G. the NR does good job here in So. CA.

David - I tried FreeDV and VoX - no work.  Switching to USB VoX was fine. Usiong FDV and PTT was also good.

I was not able to use vox. I believe since vox is audio based verses fdv being generated for the actual tx, the audio is injected (for lack of more technical explainations) into That mode's signal, the vox is rendered unuseable. Just a guess, which I'm sure Tim or Gerald could explain much better than I.

1.51 installed without a hitch on my primary computer, but when I installed it on my laptop I use for a backup and remote it wouldn't find the radio.  I disconnected the wired ethernet connection and went wireless and it finally found it....plugged the wired connection back in and all was OK.  Network issue apparently, though I'm at a loss to explain it.

Had you reset your router, it probably would have worked, also. During reset, the router re-allocates I/P addresses and probably would have picked up the Flex.
