You sly devils! Nice job with 1.4.3. The binaural receive is very cool. DAX monitoring, too. Excellent finishing touches. Installation went very smoothly.

Working a treat and binaural in the headset sounds --- well -- you all decide!

Thanks FRS!

Is there a "bugs fixed" list and "known issues"  for 1.4.3?  I didn't see it in the release notes.

Examples -- The APF TONE bug from V1.4  is fixed and it appears to be working better but the DAX channel persistence is not working and DAX rate in the control panel still defaults to 4800.

The reason I'm asking is I'm not sure if we should report the DAX issues again without a list to know what was fixed.  Same would be true for other bugs reported in 1.4.

Correction for my post above.  Should have said --- There is a known issues list but issues like the DAX / DAX rate persistence weren't listed there or in a bugs fixed list.

Agree with Al.    Verbose... no.  More detail than some might think necessary, perhaps.  But also perhaps that detail is appreciated by others.

Please consider putting it back in the release notes PDF file. Some of us would like to see what's been fixed or changed BEFORE installing it.

For example, it may be days until I can get back into the shack, but I do read email and the support sites more frequently. It would be nice to see what changed beforehand, so I can then make a decision as to how much of a priority it is to upgrade.

Eric,
Good point,  another option is to add the "change log" file to the download page on the FRS website.  See mockup snapshot.  But it was nice having all of the information about what is fixed, what is new and the known issues in the same document.

Adding links to pertinent documents in the release announcement
would be helpful.  I think that used to be the way it was (?)  This time
was awkward.

Thanks for the feedback on the new Release Notes.

We took feedback from customers that the Release Notes had become long and verbose.   We moved all the static information to the SmartSDR User's Guide.  We also referenced the Changelog.txt file that is installed in the Documentation Folder on your machine.   It's easily accessible by clicking your START button in Windows then /All Programs/FlexRadio Systems/SmartSDR v1.4.3/Documentation.   No hunting for files using Windows Explorer......

We will consider moving the most current ChangeLog.txt to the Website for future releases.

Steve,
I found it on the Radio Settings screen.....I was expecting it on the main screen or volume tab.  (that would make it easier to switch it on/off to compare the effect).

I just tried that, and thought maybe I was doing something wrong.
Guess I need to build a diode detector recording widget, or something...

Really glad to have binaural back (previously in PSDR).  It does rock!

I had one minor pseudo issue.  My LAN status indicator kept going from Excellent to Poor and back, even though it showed 0 packets dropped.  Then, within about 10 minutes or so, LAN status stayed green.  Had the same thing when it first installed 1.4.  Must be Windows 8.1 deciding what I needed to know.

Happy Easter.  He has risen!

I was very glad to discover that DAX Audio in SSB is now PRE-EQ and PRE-Processing.  The EQ and Processor are now effective on the audio sent in via DAX!  Whoo Hoo! Makes contest voice keyer that much more effective.

The Transmit record and playback are very good reproductions of what I sound like on my monitor receiver (a 1500).

Great job!  Thanks.

Wow, I just noticed slice info is now "stacked" along left or right sides of the panadapter.  This really makes it nice when moving from one slice to another while being zoomed in.

Thanks FRS!

Now if we could just get squelch to work on other modes (sorry, I have to put in my plug)!
