"DEFAULT" and "DEFAULT FHM -2" in MIC PROFILES?

Hi all. Can someone explain the difference between the "DEFAULT" and "DEFAULT FHM-2" setting in mic profiles on my 6400M? My mic is very weak on FHM-2 and works fine on "DEFAULT" and I think I need to check to make sure the BIAS is enabled on FHM-2. Why these 2 settings? I apologize in advance for ALL my posts if they have been beaten to death but I have checked the forums before posting and have not been able to find the answer. Thank you.

Bob, the default mic setting is just generic, the FHM-2 is supposed to be for that mic. I suggest you start with a profile and then EQ it for your own voice, set the mic gain, and needed settings and save that as a new profile. Name it.

Profile already in your radio are really starting points.

Keep the questions coming..lol

Bob - you can check the differences yourself by watching what parameters change when you switch between these two mic profile selections.  If you're not familiar with Mic Profile settings, check out page 76 in the SSDR Software Manual.
