Transverter Interface Question

The back of the Flex has a Receive In and Receive/TX Transverter Ports.
The Transverter has the RX Only and RX/TX Port.
What is the reason for having the two ports on the radio and Flex - It seems the one TX/RX port works fine? Do I need to connect both??

I have XVTR A connected to my 2m xverter, and XVTR B connected to my 70cm xverter. I use RX IN A and RX IN B for my 80m and 160m receive only antennas. 73, Joel0

There are two general ways that a transverter works. One is a "split IF" where the TX and RX sides come out separately. The other is "common IF" where TX and RX share a connection. How you hook it up depends on your transverter. The instructions that came with the xverter should show the right way to hook it up. It sounds like yours is common IF with an aux RX port, but the documentation will let you know for sure.

What radio are you using Dwayne?0

6600 - It has the A and B XVTR ports each with TX/RX and RX.
Current XVTRs I have using also each have split ports.

Take a look a this, It is from Down East Microwave for using full duplex on the 6700.
