xvtr api commands

I'm exploring the use of the xvtr api commands by running SmartSDR with the "Radio Setup" dialog open to the XVTR tab. I then connect to the radio from my own client and send it:

C123|xvtr create

That creates a new xvtr and I see a new blank xvtr appear on the Radio Setup dialog.

I receive a reply:

R123|0|1

Then I try to set the xvtr name by sending:

C124|xvtr set 00000001 name=512

I receive a reply:

R124|0|

but the name does not show up in the Radio Setup dialog.

I have been able to set the rf_freq but other fields don't seem to set when I send the appropriate command.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

I just did a quick test and it appears that your command is fine and will update the radio.  However, we aren't getting a status message out to the other clients, so the new value isn't reflected immediately in them.  This is a bug.  I entered it as #4944 for tracking.

    Eric,

Thanks for the explanation, now I know that my approach is OK.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
