For those looking for a non-CAT, native logging program for their Flex, Tim has just released version 1.0.1 of SliceLogger.

It can be found here…

tmellisonjr-create/SliceLogger: SliceLogger is a full featured ham radio logging program engineered to integrate with FlexRadio SDRs that use the SmartSDR API, such as the Aurora, FLEX-8000 and FLEX-6000 series radios

I am going to move from HRD to Slice Logger.

While attempting to install it I note that Smart App Control prevents Slice Logger installation.

Is Slice Logger's Database of the same type as in latest version of HRD?

Hi Tom… I'm not sure about the db being anything like HRD's, but I think I remember it's built using SQLLite. There is an ADIF import feature which, if you can export your HRD log to an ADIF, should bring everything into SliceLogger with no problem.

As far as the 'app control' thingee, on Win11, I just tell it to 'keep it' (on download) and 'install anyway'. Everything seems to work out fine. I suspect it's because Tim hasn't officially registered/signed the install package with MS.

    Thanks, Don, for announcing it.

I have been waiting for something like this.

Big Thanks to Tim and his buddy Claude. 😉

By the way, there is another non-CAT option as well, called OpsLog. It's available here
