Use Windows 11 platform.

Unlike the V3 versions, the latest V4 version has certainly not become more user-friendly. 

None of the documentation or videos I’ve found are based on this recent version. If such resources do exist, I would really like to find them.

Older V3 versions—which I had installed on my previous PC—worked without issues; WSJT-X ran fine, too.

Is there really no manual that provides a clear explanation for this?

I’d like to get back to using SmartSDR and hope someone can provide that for me.

    the only difference in setting up SmartSDR from older version 3 DAX drivers to version 4.2.20 is the Dax names have changed.

    go to audio tab in WSJT-X and change Audio In to DAX RX1.
    Change Audio Out to DAX TX.

    Make sure you have read the release notes for SmartSDR 4.2.20. Uninstall all old versions of SmartSDR including answering NO when prompted if you want to keep the DAX drivers.

    Then uninstall the FlexVSP. This is the CAT virtual ports.

    reboot PC and install 4.2.20. It will install new FlexVSP and DAX drivers.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
