Were can I buy a shipping box or the factory box for a FLEX 6500?? Thanks, Bob

It's not a factory box, but if there's a UPS store near you they can provide the packaging you need. They won't have the custom inserts, but they can put together double boxes with appropriate padding.

Many other shipping store will do this, but prefer the UPS stores, most are locally owned.

Here is what you do:

• Go to a UPS store (even Home Depot I think) and buy a box bigger than the radio by at least 5" on all 6 sides
• Place the radio in a plastic bag and tape it closed to keep out the shipping peanuts dust.
• Buy and pour shipping peanuts into the box starting with 4-5" on the bottom
• Place the radio in the box
• Fill the box with peanuts. Don't skimp as you want the radio tightly surrounded by shipping peanuts
• Tape up the box. Use LOTS of tape. Tape is inexpensive.

Now that you have the radio tightly encased in the box you can safely ship it without it being damaged at all.

And, grin when the person on the other end goes to unpack your well packed radio and he is trying to keep all the peanuts in the box as he does it.
