Iambic keying.

I have been using my cw paddle for months now. today I found that my paddle is acting like a straight key, dashes on both paddles.

I went to settings Phone/CW and tried to enable iambic keying. Everytime i cick on iambic it lights up for a split second and then reverts to disabled.

The only thing that I have been doing different is setting up for a new microphone ( Heil 781pro) so could this have prevented iambic being used ?

Hi Pete… sounds like a rather obvious question, but where have you got your key plugged in? straight to the key jack on the flex? into a maestro? are you operating remote? all of these will help us help you. If both paddles are producing dashes, it sounds like a problem with the key or the key jack (wherever it is). There are two switches involved — one for producing dots and the other for dashes. Switching on/off iambic shouldn't make a difference. The only other suggestion may be a problem with the logic board in the radio itself.

Can you try a different paddle plugged directly into the key jack on the radio?
